The site documents the genealogy of two Kreis Greifenberg families: The Johann BENZ / Sophie PAGENKOPF family of Gützlaffshagen and the August HOGE / Wilhelmine SCHEER family of Lewetzow. Both families immigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1872 and 1865 respectively.

Children of these two families went on to become great grandparents of my own children on their mother's side.
